Administrative Assistant

A HireStrategy client in the DC Metro is looking for a highly motivated and skilled administrative assistant to support multiple leaders on our external facing policy team. The ideal candidate will be mission focused with experience supporting C-level executives and have experience managing people.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support team leadership with daily administrative needs, scheduling, and expense reports
  • Manage calendars and coordinate activities such as meetings and conferences
  • Manage domestic/international travel arrangements and proactively coordinate the pre-planning of trips with various internal functions, including arranging appropriate travel, visas, agendas and necessary contacts, country information, etc.
  • Coordinate logistics for visitors (badge access, parking, guest office space, equipment, etc.)
  • Coordinate board meetings
  • Manage and prioritize incoming requests and appointments
  • Serve as first point-of-contact for some internal and external communications
  • Assess administrative needs and changing priorities to make decisions to allocate resources accordingly
  • Improve administrative processes and innovate to increase efficiency


  • At least 2 years of experience of providing administrative support
  • Superior professionalism and ability to work well with all levels of staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • SharePoint and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
