AP Manager

Our client, a leading real estate developing organization located in the Vienna, VA area, is seeking an AP manager on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years AP experience, with at least 4 years supervisory experience, with a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the AP department (which handles all disbursements, 1099, and tax related matters for multiple accounting systems) 
  • Develop and implement systems, policies and procedures for the department 
  • Select, hire and train employees 
  • Address performance issues for the group and make recommendations for personnel actions 
  • Prepare operating and personnel budgets 



  • BS in business related field is highly preferred 
  • 7+ years' AP experience, including 4 or more years in supervisory role 
  • Previous experience with MRI, Yardi, or other large ERP 
  • Previous experience with 1099 and unclaimed property tax filings 
  • Advanced Excel skills
