Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Our client located in Needham, MA  has an immediate need for driven individuals to join their team. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities that the successful candidate will possess and perform on a daily basis. 



  • Monitoring and collecting accounts receivable; including making customer calls, researching and resolving account discrepancies, and preparing account adjustments 
  • Building relationships with both colleagues and customer personnel to facilitate your ability to successfully collect outstanding A/R balances 
  • Relentlessly focusing on meeting cash collection targets and reducing the aging and DSO 
  • Providing accounting support related to billing and accounts receivable 
  • Documenting customer communications and implementing a schedule for systematically following up on delinquent accounts 


  • 1-3 years of  collections experience working in a fast-paced, high volume corporate collections environment 
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills 
  • Self-confidence to relentlessly pursue and collect outstanding receivables 
  • Discipline to work independently with minimal supervision, mange time effectively, and meet goals and deadlines 
  • Willingness to work hard and contribute as a member of a high performing financial team 
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
