We are currently looking for tax accountants We have a couple of clients looking to hire experience tax professionals. A few have potential to be contract-to-hire. If you have 3+ years of tax experience and are open to contracting, apply today!

Summary/Objective 

The tax accountant is responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns of individuals and businesses. The tax accountant also prepares sales, payroll and excise tax filings. 

Essential Functions

  1. Prepares basic personal tax returns
  2. Prepares basic corporate, partnership and S-corp returns
  3. Prepares basic amended returns, personal tax projections, property tax refunds, employee benefit plan returns, carryback returns and payroll tax returns
  4. Utilizes and develops a basic understanding of various tax programs and tax software
  5. Works with confidential client matters

Competencies

  1. Financial Management.
  2. Communications Proficiency.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, or a tax concentration within an accounting program
  • Must be detail oriented
