AP Coordinator

This HireStrategy client is a nonprofit in Washington, DC and they are seeking a Senior Accountant. This nonprofit is a membership based organization that represents the health Industry. The organization offers phenomenal benefits, competitive pay, and a great work life balance approximately 35-38.5 hours/ week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare general ledger journal entries for monthly closing activities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
  • Maintain the corporate credit cards processing
  • Maintain the Capital Fixed Asset records for the Association
  • Perform analysis of cash balances and cash flows
  • If needed serve as backup for Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, and payroll



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • Over four years of experience working within nonprofit
  • Experience with Great Plains or Solomon
