Benefits Administrator 
 

The Benefits Administrator, US & International is responsible for the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs in the United States and international operations (Saudi, Dubai, Bahrain and Mexico).  This position will manage all aspects of vendor administration, group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, health spending account and the 401(k) plan. The Benefits Administrator, US & International will also provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and will provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefits programs. 

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual uploads
  • Process weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Census
  • Process and approve life events and QMSCO’s
  • Enter monthly payroll deductions and liase with payroll on any updates and issues
  • Audit all benefit programs on a regular basis
  • Analyze and correct processing errors and liase with payroll to manage arrear payments
  • Coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process
  • Manage the new hire and termination process in regards to benefits
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Administer the 401k plan including loan monitoring and processing deposits
  • Conduct annual audit preparations
  • Assist in discrimination testing
  • Assist in preparing communication materials and campaigns
  • Conduct employee education sessions when required
  • Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly calls with vendors

 

 

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • 2-5 years of USA Benefits experience required
  • International Benefits experience is an asset
  • 2-5 years’ experience working with HR systems
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset
  • Ability to pay attention to many details in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize tasks
  • Strong computer skills; specifically, with MS Office products- Word, Excel, etc. 
  • Solid communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
