Senior Systems Engineer

The Engineer will collaborate and work with several team members, project managers, and leadership to focus on new build out and migration initiatives as well as day-to-day activities to ensure that all initiatives are completed successfully and on-time.  The ideal team member must have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects; take an active approach to project activities, problem escalations, and a desire to work with various technologies that drive solutions. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, Document, Secure and Maintain a Mac and Windows Operating System environments
  • Coordinate with various teams to determine application upgrade paths for operating system compatibility
  • Deploy, Migrate and Upgrade Windows System to Windows 10 while keeping end users synchronized
  • Provide and deploy automation methodologies for IT enterprise software deployments
  • Create technical documents, designs and presentations and present them in a clear and concise manner to other areas of the business.
  • Efficiently and effectively solve problems regarding system errors or usage issues
  • Plan, fulfill and deliver IT solutions in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with various teams with regard to project responsibilities and processes
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and internal controls in support of the Microsoft enterprise environment
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and communication
  • Be able to track and document information regarding troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to independently work on projects through completion

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Windows and MAC Technologies preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience implementing, upgrading and maintaining Microsoft technologies such as the Microsoft System Center Suite preferred
  • 5+ years’ additional experience with SCCM to deploy packaged Software and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with Image Management and Deployment
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, and Federation Services
  • Experience writing Technical Documents and System Standards
  • Experience using MSI packaging tools, preferably Advanced Installer, for software deployment
  • Experience with creating scripts utilizing Batch, PowerShell or VBScript
  • Understand Network Topology and Hypervisors such as VMWare or Hyper-V
  • Ability to make good judgments, decisions,  negotiate, and  problem solve
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information to non-IT personnel
  • Must demonstrate strong sense of urgency regarding solving project and end-user related issues
  • Must be able to minimize downtime by rapidly diagnosing and resolving problems
