Client Management Sr. Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage local workstation admin rights and privilege elevation using tools such as Microsoft LAPS and BeyondTrust PowerBroker
  • Maintain and deploy GPOs, across multiple domains, which affect the client machines or end users
  • Manage and provide support for mobile devices, tablets and toughbooks/rugged notebooks using Microsoft InTune
  • Provide desktop/laptop/mobile solutions for different functionalities required from the main offices and field locations (where several real time applications run on the client machines, for measurement and management of the pipelines and such)
  • Resolve Remedy incident tickets that are escalated for Tier 3 support from the Service Desk
  • Package and deploy all client applications with Flexera and Microsoft tools (AdminStudio/Wise, System Center Configuration Manager)
  • Create/manage Operating System images for different hardware models supported in the company. This includes task sequences, injecting drivers to image or creating driver packages
  • Patch all the client machines monthly with the Microsoft Security updates and other third party application updates
  • Maintain the System Center Endpoint Protection and make sure the signatures are up to date all the time.  Remediate SCEP client issues when necessary
  • Back up the data stored locally on the client machines and provide restore services (using Connected Data Protector)
  • Set up and manage the remote management tools and standards (Dameware)
  • Virtualize the client applications using App-V
  • Upgrade and maintain all the tools and infrastructure necessary to provide the above services
  • Manage a schedule to assure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Plan and test the DR/BCP procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with the Mobile Device Management products like InTune, MobileIron, Airwatch, XenMobile, etc.
  • Solid hands-on experience of the Systems Center Configuration Manager (Preferably 5+ years of SCCM administration experience)
  • Package deployment, Distribution Point remediation, OSD (including driver packaging), Patch Management, USMT, Asset Intelligence, and Internet-based Client Management
  • Technical knowledge and past experience using Active Directory and managing Group Policies
  • Technical knowledge and past experience in application packaging (AdminStudio/Wise), application virtualization (App-V) and application deployment (SCCM 2016)
  • Experience working on an infrastructure type team, interacting with several other teams, supporting at least 5,000 client machines spread geographically across multiple sites and multiple domains
  • Past experience interacting with customers at various levels within the organization (including the executive level)
  • Strong Project Management experience

Preferred Skills

  • Solid hands-on experience of other Systems Center products such as Orchestrator, Operations Manager and Service Manager.  Creating workflows
  • Project Manager (PMP) certification
  • ITIL certification
  • MCP, MCSE, MCSA, MCIT or any client (desktop/laptop infrastructure) related technical certification
  • Ability to connect with Microsoft and other solution partners for technical solutions
  • Vendor negotiation skills
  • Experience with Appsense, profile management, policy management, folder redirection
