Position Responsibilities; 

  • Contact prospects, schedule appointments, and present Benefit information
  • Develop prospecting initiative and follow-up with target accounts for maximum results
  • Develop and maintain prospect list of target client for future business
  • Coordinate production efforts with marketing and service personnel
  • Conduct periodic meetings with Account Managers to provide updates and ensure requirements are understood
  • Arrange payment terms for all accounts in accordance with agency credit and collection requirements 
  • Gather information and deliver renewals and/or binders following agency guidelines
  • Forecast trends and techniques to maintain a competitive status for the agency within the industry
  • Attend sales conferences, company sales meetings, or educational activities needed to improve sales techniques
  • Review all agency activities relating to the public, customers and companies to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions
  • Abide by company and industry policies and procedures efficiently

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively present Benefit Presentations to groups of all sizes
  • Ability to assist and influence employees within the decision making process
  • Self-motivated and possess excellent listening skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in an organized and responsibly manner
  • Possess knowledge of life, health, disability, long term care, pension and mutual funds, both individual and group.
  • Team player and willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and Agency

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree highly preferable
  • CLU, CHFC, and LFTUC designations highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years employee benefits producing experience or comparable industry sales experience 
  • Previous sales/production and marketing/underwriting experience in an insurance agency or brokerage firm
  • Knowledge of agency systems and company relationships
  • Life and Health License as required by the State Department of Insurance
  • Proven record of meeting production and metric requirements
