Customer Service Rep

Customer Service Job Description:

  • Answers incoming calls, and provides outbound calling, as needed, in support of sales and marketing efforts
  • Informs customer of pricing, availability, back-orders, and any additional requested information
  • Assesses customer needs and suggests / promotes alternative products, where applicable
  • Enters quotations and orders 
  • Follows-up on back orders, ensuring delivery by specified dates
  • Prepares Invoices and shipping documents
  • Works closely with Warehouse Management personnel to expedite shipments, track missing or delayed shipments
  • Works closely with internal department ensuring a coordinated approach is maintained in meeting and exceeding customer requirements


  • 2-5 years related experience and/or training, hydraulics or fluid power industry experience a plus;
  • Industrial or distribution customer service required
  • Microsoft Office 
  • Attention to detail
  • Energetic and shows initiative
  • Identify and resolve issues in timely professional manner
