Sales Associate Job Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and determining customers’ needs and wants
  • Recommending services based on individual requirements
  • Answering customers’ inquiries and concerns
  • Quoting prices as well as terms of sale
  • Prepares sales contracts and accepts payment through cash, check or credit 
  • Maintains sales records for inventory

Sales Associate Requirements

  • Least 1-2 years’ experience in a sales-type role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sales Associate must have a proven track record working with and tracking detailed information
