Our client, a leader in program management and e-commerce technology to both the government and commercial clients, is seeking a financial analyst for a contract opportunity working onsite at a government facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in federal financial accounting OR audit, and will be able to pass a clearance background screen. They will be working onsite with a government agency in the Alexandria/Arlington area. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical accounting and advisory support. specifically in the area of financial statement audits and audit remediation 
  • Prepare weekly status reports 
  • Act as the liaison between the external auditors and client 
  • Review PBC requests and track delivery 
  • Prepare certification metrics 
  • Assist with risk assessment deliverables 

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in either Accounting or Finance 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a government agency 
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle preferred 
  • Past experience in internal controls, audit policy and GAAP
