Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary

 

To provide Human Resources support for the facility. Act as a liaison between the employee and other support departments as it pertains to Payroll, Benefits, etc. Represent the company for unemployment claims, EEOC investigations and other employment agency inquiries. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Act as an integral part of the leadership team to enable business outcomes by providing HR consultation and expertise with topics such as turnover, employee satisfaction, trends in attendance etc
  • Provide leadership coaching and leadership effectiveness insights in any and all HR related matters
  • Review terminations for approval to ensure compliance to the company as well as legal requirements
  • Conduct employee relations and investigations
  • Advise and review issues pertaining to FMLA, ADA, and ensure compliance
  • Facilitate the processing of the LOA, PTO, and FMLA requests
  • Investigate all injury/incident reports. Obtain all necessary documentation and manage any corresponding Worker Comp claims
  • Assist with the investigation and gather of documentation for all EEOC claims or other legal issues
  • Prepare and review documentation for all unemployment appeal claims and attend hearings as required
  • Conduct weekly New Hire orientations
  • Facilitate the resolution of payroll issues/concerns
  • Review and process all new hire paperwork
  • Process all new hire paperwork and termination paperwork
  • Conduct employee exit interviews
  • Assist in administering incentive plans/rewards system
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Track all 'expiring' work authorizations
  • Participate and assist in employee events and charity events

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in Human Resources with specific experience in the qualifications above
  • Bachelor's degree in Human resources, business administration or related field
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, FSLA etc.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, Internet and Outlook.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to administer and communicate policy with accuracy and impartiality
  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must
  • Time management skills are imperative
  • Must possess a positive and upbeat attitude
  • Ability to work well with others and create a positive partnership with the Operations group
  • Position requires flexible availability and must be able to adjust schedule as needed
  • Must be prompt and dependable
