.NET Web Developer (Jr/Mid)

The Full Stack .NET Web Developer position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of new and existing web applications and services. We are currently building new applications from the ground up and also in the process of upgrading our existing applications, databases and infrastructure to the latest technologies. Some of the technologies you will be working with: ASP.NET 5/MVC 6, AngularJS, KendoUI, Windows Azure, SQL Azure, SQL Server 2014, Redis/MongoDB, Continuous Integration, Azure Websites.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design, code and test applications using Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise & SQL Management Studio 2014
  • Manage competing deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, team leads, testers and other stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Requires minimal supervision, is self-motivated and have a passion for writing good code
  • Stay current with the latest technologies, methods and tools and willing to adopt best practices
  • Be responsible for the quality and timeliness of their own work

Required Skills

  • 1-5 plus years of full stack web development experience using C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC 3+, .NET 3.5+, LINQ, ADO.NET and Entity Framework
  • Basic knowledge of database design, and the ability to write complex TSQL queries
  • Knowledge of client-side technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS
  • Solid understanding of object oriented analysis and design
  • Experience creating automated tests using MSTest, NUnit etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • SOLID Principles and Design Patterns
  • Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • SQL Server query tuning and optimization
  • ASP.NET Web API, REST Architecture, WCF, SOA
  • Exposure to one or more of the following JavaScript frameworks: AngularJS, Kendo UI, KnockoutJS
  • Experience setting up Continuous Integration (CI) systems
  • ALM using Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • SQL Azure, Azure Tables/Blobs, Azure Websites
