JOB TITLE:  Desktop Support Technician



Main Skills:

Windows Desktop, Server, Windows 10, Active Directory (user rights, passwords), MS Office, Desktops, laptops, devices, peripherals, printers.



Supporting end users and must be familiar with Windows 10, Active Directory and MS Office applications. The candidate will provide dedicated support for desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals. There will also be opportunities to assist with ancillary tasks such as patch cabling, network equipment troubleshooting and server support. This role will include a significant amount of user interaction so a high degree of customer service skills is necessary.


Skills Required:

  • 1 - 3 years of experience supporting a Windows environment
  • Hands-on support for hardware and software problems associated with desktops, laptops, network, servers, printers, remote access and file shares
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone or electronically
  • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems involving desktop computing equipment and software 
  • Experience utilizing a ticketing system
  • Working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations and software
  • Basic understanding of networking functions and switches
  • Configure workstations for new users and upgrade existing equipment and software
  • Set up and maintain network and telecommunication systems
  • Administer Active Directory accounts and groups
  • Hands on experience supporting iPhone and Android devices
  • 1 - 3 years of experience supporting a Windows environment
  • Bachelors in Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience        
  • A+ Certification
