Social Media and Digital Marketing Manager

Our client has a part-time contract role in Fairfax County working as a Marketing and Social Media Manager for a government contractor seeking to build its online presence and thought leadership brand.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement all digital marketing, including web, SEO/SEM, email, and social media operations
  • Gage and account on the execution of all digital marketing operations
  • Supervise the social media policy for the company
  • Use a variety of methods including paid search, SEO, and PPC
  • Uphold our social media existence across all digital channels
  • Control corporate website
  • Generate a constant stream of high-quality substance optimized for SEO, including articles, blog posts, website, whitepapers, proposals, and marketing operations
  • Edit, proofread, and improve other writers’ material



  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a similar field. Will consider years of experience and/or certifications instead of degree.
  • 5+ years professional experience in the marketing field, explicitly to include proven working practice in digital marketing and website administration
  • Creative writing abilities, graphic design and brochure growth
  • Practice leading and handling SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, and social media operations
  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Constant Contact, and social media such as Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Highly original with involvement in recognizing target audiences and developing digital movements that absorb, enlighten, and inspire
