Sr. Systems Engineer

One of our top clients in Rockville, MD is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting, developing and expanding AWS Virtual Machines and Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
  • Maintain knowledge of current devices and systems, development of hardware and software interface criteria and protocols, operational testing and evaluation, performance of audits for compliance with engineering standards, and monitoring of network/system configuration management activities. 
  • Deploying, maintaining and supporting Windows Active Directory Group Policy
  • Leading management of on premise Active Directory and Azure/Office 365 Active Directory
  • Maintaining Cloud Email Spam solution, Barracuda Cloud Control
  • Engage in a broad range of complex, specialized network/system areas, such as the planning, engineering, requirements definition, provisioning, and implementation of telecommunications networks/information systems
  • Support Virtual VmWare based Infrastructure and AWS and Azure Infrastructure
  • Engineering and implementing Encryption software
  • Recommending upgrades, modifications, and additions to the network/system so as not to duplicate existing capabilities or violate engineering standards
  • Performing system operational tests and evaluations
  • Supporting and maintaining corporate SAN, Dell Compellent
  • Maintaining and supporting corporate monitoring software Orion SolarWinds, Veeam Backup solution and Symantec Endpoint Protection Software



  • 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 required
  • Must have experience supporting, developing and expanding AWS Virtual Machines and Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
  • Proficient in communications protocols, hardware, software, and operating systems related to work assignments
  • Specialized experience may include areas such as facility, switch, and network/system engineering; planning, provisioning, and implementation; network topology design and engineering; traffic planning and engineering; interfacing networks/systems to and from transmission media; analysis of queuing issues; analysis and problem-solving with respect to traffic routing and flow and transmissions/system sizing; and knowledge of protocols, standards, and interfaces
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
