About:
Addison Group is currently assisting in the search for an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join their expanding team. This role primarily entails handling all AR functions along with general ledger accounting duties. The ideal candidate should possess 3+ years of experience, strong expertise in AR, and a solid understanding of GAAP principles. This is an onsite position with compensation of up to $73K, depending on relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage B2B accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely payments.
- Utilize AR aging reports to identify overdue invoices and implement collections strategies.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile invoices.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Generate reports to track performance metrics and cash flow projections.
Additional Responsibilities (GAAP Accounting):
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B Accounts Receivable Management.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
