About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a nonprofit organization to identify an experienced Full-Cycle Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity. This role will oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, reconciliations, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within the nonprofit sector and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced accounting environment
I. Key Responsibilities
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
II. Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
IV. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in NetSuite or other large ERP systems
