About Our Client:
Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing healthcare organization seeking experienced Medical Billers to join their remote revenue cycle team. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity supporting a high-volume billing environment with both government and commercial insurance payers.
Job Description:
The Medical Biller is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting medical claims while ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement. This role works with a variety of payer types, researches claim edits and denials, and manages claim corrections to support efficient revenue cycle operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit and process high-volume medical claims for outpatient or inpatient services.
- Review claims for accuracy before submission, ensuring all required documentation and coding are complete.
- Research and resolve claim rejections, edits, and denials by making necessary corrections and resubmitting claims.
- Process approximately 1,500 claims per month while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Work with both commercial insurance carriers and government payers, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Differentiate between corrected claims and claim resubmissions to ensure proper reimbursement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve claim acceptance rates.
- Maintain accurate documentation and stay current on payer guidelines and billing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting.
- Experience with both commercial and government insurance payers.
- Knowledge of outpatient and/or inpatient billing processes.
- Familiarity with therapy-related services such as physical therapy, wound care, or rehabilitation billing is preferred.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.
- Experience with healthcare billing systems such as WellSky and HMS is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
