Pay Rate: $23 - $27 / Hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to review and correct provider-assigned coding, resolve claim edits, and support revenue cycle operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate CPT, ICD-10, and coding compliance while serving as a coding resource for providers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, correct, and recode provider-assigned CPT and ICD-10 codes.
- Resolve claim edits, including NCCI, LCD, and NCD edits.
- Analyze payer reimbursement discrepancies and prepare appeals for underpayments when appropriate.
- Respond to provider coding questions and provide coding guidance.
- Explain coding decisions to Customer Service to support patient inquiries.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.
Qualifications
- CPC certification required.
- 1–3 years of professional medical coding experience.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, NCCI, LCD, and NCD guidelines.
- Experience with claim edits, reimbursement analysis, and coding compliance.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred (Epic experience is a plus).
Schedule
Choose one of the following:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
- 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch)

- Location: Greenville, SC (Onsite)

- Training: Two-week onsite training (may extend based on individual needs)
- Target Start Date: August 17
- One onsite interview required.
