Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in driver qualification, transportation safety, DOT compliance, recruiting operations, onboarding, or a related administrative processing function preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements
- Experience supporting CDL and/or non-CDL driver files preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Safety, Transportation, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload with multiple time-sensitive items
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based compliance systems
- Tenstreet experience strongly preferred
- Ability to identify incomplete or inconsistent information and appropriately escalate questions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Job Description:
Addison Group is hiring a Safety Processor on behalf of our client in Nashville, TN. This contract opportunity supports the driver hiring process by coordinating post-offer qualification activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring required driver documentation is complete and properly maintained.
The Safety Processor will work closely with Talent Acquisition, Safety, Operations, candidates, hiring teams, and external vendors. This is a non-supervisory position focused on processing, documentation, follow-up, and compliance support within a transportation environment.

Our client is a transportation-focused organization with an established driver hiring and safety operation. This position provides an opportunity to join a team responsible for supporting accurate, efficient, and compliant driver onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage post-offer driver qualification activities as candidates transition from the recruiting process
- Coordinate and monitor required driver qualification documentation and pre-employment records
- Review driver files to confirm documentation is complete and aligned with established qualification standards
- Manage requests for prior-employer safety and employment information, including follow-up and documentation
- Gather and verify driver licenses, medical certification, driving history, employment history, and other qualification records
- Communicate with candidates, recruiters, vendors, clinics, and hiring locations to resolve outstanding documentation
- Maintain accurate candidate statuses, notes, dates, and supporting records within designated systems
- Keep driver qualification files organized, complete, and prepared for review or audit
- Communicate outstanding items, processing delays, and issues requiring escalation to appropriate teams
- Monitor assigned workflows and vendor responses to help keep candidates moving through the hiring process
- Assist with quality-control reviews and documentation audits as needed
- Follow established company procedures and applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements
- Protect confidential candidate and employee information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
