Overview: The Senior IT Technician will provide hands-on technical support, infrastructure administration, and cybersecurity compliance support within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position requires a well-rounded IT professional with experience supporting Microsoft technologies, networking, servers, endpoint management, and enterprise systems. A strong understanding of cybersecurity compliance frameworks, particularly CMMC, ITAR, NIST 800-171, and DFARS, is highly valued. The ideal candidate can operate independently, collaborate with global IT teams, and support both daily IT operations and strategic security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and operating system issues.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Exchange Online, and other enterprise IT systems.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Support network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure projects, system upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, and standardization efforts.
- Maintain user accounts, security groups, access permissions, and business system integrations.
- Assist with cybersecurity operations, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and security best practices.
- Support compliance initiatives involving CMMC, ITAR, NIST 800-171, DFARS, cybersecurity audits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist with server administration, virtualization, storage, and related infrastructure technologies.
- Support endpoint management, application deployment, software packaging, and operating system deployment.
- Manage vendor and service provider relationships, including equipment procurement and invoice approvals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, processes, and asset inventories.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted local IT resource while supporting global IT operations.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on Information Technology experience preferred.
- Experience supporting IT operations in manufacturing, aerospace, defense contracting, or other government-regulated environments.
- Strong preference for experience with CMMC, ITAR, NIST 800-171, DFARS, or similar cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy, user identities, and access permissions.
- Experience troubleshooting networking technologies, including switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with server administration, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and infrastructure support.
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr/SCCM), Intune, or similar endpoint management platforms.
- Experience supporting iOS and Android devices in a corporate environment.
- Experience with application deployment, software packaging, and operating system deployment.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
