Location: Tysons, VA – Hybrid
Assignment Type: Permanent Hire
Compensation: $72,000–$75,000 base salary +bonus eligibility
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Review contracts and invoices to determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP and company capitalization policies
- Input and code capital expenditure invoices within the accounting system
- Establish and maintain capital projects from project inception through final capitalization
- Monitor construction-in-progress accounts and coordinate timely capitalization of completed projects
- Prepare monthly and quarterly fixed asset reporting
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform CAPEX accrual analyses and depreciation forecasting
- Assist with preparation of monthly fixed asset rollforwards
- Research account variances, unusual transactions, and fluctuations
- Identify root causes of discrepancies and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve fixed asset and project accounting questions
- Ensure project and capital reporting is complete, accurate, and timely
- Support reconciliation of fixed asset and project-related accounts
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
- Support broader accounting and financial reporting initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1+ years of accounting experience required
- 2–3 years of general ledger accounting experience preferred
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and month-end close
- Strong ability to analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
- Understanding of GAAP
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound accounting judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Quick learner who can operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
