About the Opportunity:

Addison Group is seeking an Authorization Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity with a specialty healthcare practice. This role supports a seasoned revenue cycle team and is responsible for prior authorizations and insurance verification in a collaborative, respectful work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete prior authorizations for hospice and palliative services
  • Monitor and manage authorization dashboards and work queues in multiple systems
  • Process Medicaid room and board authorizations
  • Perform insurance eligibility verification as backup coverage
  • Communicate with payors through portals and phone calls as needed
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness while managing daily authorization volume

Qualifications:

  • Required experience with prior authorizations (open to different specialties)
  • Experience working with Medicaid and commercial payors
  • Preferred qualifications include insurance verification experience and familiarity with revenue cycle workflows
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, confidence, and independence. Candidates must be comfortable making outbound phone calls when necessary and be able to problem solve independently.

  • Training will be one‑on‑one with the manager
  • Software includes HomeCare Home Base, eClinicalWorks, Waystar, NC Tracks, and payor portals
  • Dress code is business casual; jeans are allowed with no rips or holes
