Position Summary: Our client is seeking a hands-on, organized HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and compliance. This role will also provide administrative support to the owners and work with vendors and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and administer payroll through Paychex.
- Administer employee benefits, including health/dental insurance and 401(k).
- Manage workers’ compensation, COBRA, PTO/vacation, and OSHA reporting.
- Support recruitment, new-hire onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate personnel and compliance records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Support employee training and implementation of web-based HR programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for designated vendors and external partners on behalf of the Owners.
- Maintain office compliance files and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- Payroll experience; Paychex experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of benefits administration, workers’ compensation, OSHA, COBRA, and employment compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new systems independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual English/Spanish, written and verbal, a plus.
- Experience developing employee training programs or implementing web-based HR systems a plus.
