About Our Client
Addison Group is hiring for our client, a busy specialty physician practice in Lone Tree, CO, seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide temporary maternity leave coverage.
This is a great opportunity for someone with medical front office, patient access, scheduling, or medical reception experience who enjoys interacting with patients and working in a fast-paced physician practice. There may also be potential for longer-term opportunities based on future business needs.
Position Overview
The Patient Access Representative will serve as one of the first points of contact for patients and provide front-office support throughout the patient visit.
Responsibilities will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, updating patient and insurance information, and assisting with check-in and check-out. The ideal candidate is friendly and professional with patients while also being able to work quickly and accurately in a busy clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients arriving for appointments
- Perform patient check-in and check-out
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient questions
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments
- Obtain and update patient insurance information
- Verify and update patient demographics
- Maintain accurate patient information within the practice system
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and clinical staff
- Help maintain an organized and efficient front-office workflow
- Support patient flow during high-volume clinic periods
- Assist with additional front-office and administrative responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Previous Patient Access, medical front desk, medical reception, or medical scheduling experience
- Experience working within a physician practice or outpatient medical clinic preferred
- Strong patient service and communication skills
- Comfortable answering phones and interacting directly with patients
- Ability to accurately obtain and update insurance and demographic information
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Reliable transportation required
