Staff Accountant
Location: Ashburn, VA (Onsite)
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Compensation: $25–$36/hour | $65,000–$80,000 upon conversion
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable activities
- Complete monthly account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly schedules and sales reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support journal entries, account analysis, and other general accounting activities
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with reporting and other finance-related projects as needed
- Work closely with accounting leadership to research and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with internal employees, customers, and vendors
- Identify accounting issues or process improvement opportunities and take initiative to address them
- Provide additional support across the accounting and finance department as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field required
- 2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
- Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately at a fast pace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Professional presentation and ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and vendors
