Position Overview
A well‑established manufacturing organization in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area is seeking an Accounting Associate to support its accounting operations in a hybrid environment. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys detailed work, collaboration, and supporting core accounting processes.
The Accounting Associate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting transactional accounting activities, and partnering closely with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform three‑way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation (required)
- Support accounts payable and general accounting functions as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month‑end close activities
- Utilize Excel regularly for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting (strong Excel skills required)
- Research and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and vendors
- Assist with process improvements and documentation
- Support ad hoc accounting projects and reporting requests
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong experience with three‑way matching using purchase orders (required)
- Advanced Excel skills required (formulas, lookups, data manipulation)
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus, but not required
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
