Our client, is seeking entry level candidates with a finance, accounting, or business related degree to join their fast growing team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with the ability to work equally well individually or in a team setting. We are looking for someone with a great work ethic who is ready to take on daily challenges and is also willing to learn new processes. Great culture with room to grow!
Title: Entry Level Accounting Clerk
Salary: $20-23 hourly
Location: Washington DC, hybrid in-office 2 days a week
Primary Responsibilities
- Data entry on the accounting/finance side of the business, including for journal entries
- Create and maintain the Excel spreadsheets used during the budget performance management process
- Customer service/client facing responsibilities, to include collection of information
- Ad-hoc reporting
- Create monthly financial status reports
- Assist in the month-end closing process
- Assist with basic accounting/finance responsibilities, to include some reconciliation of accounts
Qualifications
- BS or BA in an accounting/finance/or business-related field
- 0-2 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision
- Internships preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical ability
