About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the retail industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Analyst to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys digging into complex account issues, and has a strong investigative and analytical mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, reconcile, and resolve complex accounts receivable discrepancies.
- Review large-volume retail customer accounts, including accounts with thousands of transaction line items.
- Investigate aging balances, payment issues, deductions, and account variances.
- Identify data inconsistencies, missing information, and reconciliation gaps.
- Clean up historical account issues and ensure accurate account balances.
- Partner with internal teams to research and resolve outstanding account concerns.
- Prepare reconciliation reports and support month-end close activities.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to organize, analyze, and validate large datasets.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Accounts Receivable and account reconciliation.
- Previous experience supporting retail customer accounts.
- Experience with SAP, or other large ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Proven ability to work through high-volume, complex account cleanup projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to independently research issues and determine root causes.
- Experience handling large datasets and transactional volumes.
Preferred Qualifications
- NACM certification or related credit and collections experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced accounting or finance environments with minimal supervision.
