About the Opportunity:
Addison Group is hiring an AR Analyst for our client’s corporate business office in Louisville. This role supports the revenue cycle operations for multiple senior living communities across the East Coast. The analyst will focus on resolving outstanding insurance balances after month-end close, with a heavy concentration on Medicaid and North Carolina payors.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires strong follow-up skills, comfort working across multiple locations, and the ability to independently research and resolve claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and work assigned accounts receivable balances following month-end close
- Research unpaid or underpaid insurance claims and pursue resolution through rebilling and follow-up
- Analyze remittances and explanations of benefits to identify denials or discrepancies
- Document detailed account activity and payment updates within AR systems
- Manage aging reports and provide claim research notes as required
- Communicate with payors, providers, and internal teams regarding claim status and revenue issues
- Process requests related to cash transfers and insurance payments
- Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and internal stakeholders
- Support month-end close activities, including extended hours when necessary (schedule adjusted to maintain a 40-hour workweek)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on revenue cycle experience, including full-cycle AR
- Experience working with Medicaid payors required
- Exposure to community living, senior care, or home health billing strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage high claim volumes across multiple locations
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables
- Ability to interpret remittance advice and insurance denials
- Comfortable working independently in a structured but fast-moving environment
