Desktop Support Technician
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Salary: Up to $55,000 depending on experience
Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, software, and associated peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions promptly.
- Perform installations, upgrades, and repairs on hardware and software components as needed.
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing timely resolution and excellent customer service.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT staff or vendors for further assistance.
- Document all support activities, including resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and user interactions.
- Ensure security measures are in place and systems are compliant with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, patches, and virus scans.
- Assist with technology-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on software applications, hardware usage, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support services.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
