Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Leasing Team as a Leasing Analyst. This role will primarily focus on data management within Yardi, a centralized database utilized for lease administration and analytical reporting. The Leasing Analyst will work closely with Property Managers, Asset Management Team, and external business partners to ensure accurate representation of lease terms and critical dates.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately discern and abstract lease documents, ensuring administrative and financial deal terms are accurately represented in Yardi, the system of record.
- Review and approve clause abstractions processed by outsource partners.
- Maintain open communication with internal and external business partners to proactively monitor and update tenants’ critical dates and lease statuses, buildings’ square footage changes, and other open portfolio issues.
- Assist in managing the document execution (DocuSign) and deal flow process.
- Work with Leasing Operations to avoid and resolve discrepancies in tenant lease files and ensure documents are properly reflected in the digital lease library (SharePoint).
- Assist with monthly rent roll validation.
- Assist in managing tenant-specific acquisition due diligence and onboarding processes for new assets.
- Assist in departmental audits to ensure data integrity of Yardi and other internal systems of record.
- Assist the Accounts Receivable component of the Lease Analytics team on an as-needed basis, ensuring accurate posting of cash receipts to tenant accounts in Yardi.
- Assist in departmental projects aimed at creating efficiencies and automating manual tasks.
- Identify and implement efficiencies related to lease administration and lease analytics functions.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial real estate, preferably including retail or mixed-use properties.
- Working knowledge of Yardi strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgment.
- Acute attention to detail and passion for quality.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, with a resolution mindset.
- Interest in process improvement.
- 2+ years of relevant experience or a related degree is required
