Are you passionate about accounting and looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills? Our privately held client in the beverage industry seeks a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant for their office in Everett, WA. This position will play a crucial role in managing the order-to-cash process, assisting sales operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, prepare relevant tax filings, and audit support. The accountant will work closely with the Controller, Director of Finance, President, and sales staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, payments, and financial transactions.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage full cycle order to cash including processing distributor orders and processing orders into a warehouse management systems.
- Communicate with customers and research issues and discrepancies.
- Manage accounts receivable and assist with month-end accounting close process
- Inventory management, including communication with sales staff regarding inventory levels, creation of new product items, and creating weekly reports to the sales team.
- Manage accounts payable, process vendor invoices, and prepare annual 1099's.
- Some tax filing, including importers tax, sales tax, personal property tax, and work with Avalara for other tax and licensing requirements.
- Provide audit support and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements for Staff/Senior Accountant position:
- Bachelor’s or AA degree in Accounting or Business
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
- Highly proficient with accounting systems, Word, and Excel
- Quick learner, critical thinker, and excellent communicator. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Our client offers: Hybrid work schedule. Base salary up to $90,000 (depending on skill, qualification, and experience level), annual discretionary bonus, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K match, Holiday, Paid Time Off.
