We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist! Our client in Houston, Texas is seeking an AP Specialist on a direct hire basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Distributes vendor invoices to the appropriate manager for approval and coding.
- Reviews invoices submitted for payment to ensure proper approval, coding, correct sales and use tax, and mathematical accuracy.
- Batch entry of all invoices, for all departments, into the system - Jonas.
- Generate weekly payments to vendors for goods and services purchased by the Club, through Jonas and the 3rd-party payment processer.
- Maintain vendor records and files.
- Add new vendors and update existing vendor information.
- Prepare annual 1099 forms for distribution to vendors and submittal to the IRS.
- Assist with basic maintenance of office equipment (copiers/printers/postage) and coordinate service as necessary.
- Performs weekly petty cash reconciliation to ensure transactions are properly documented and all cash is accounted for.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years Accounts Payable experience
- Experience working in a heavy customer-facing position.
