About Our Client
Addison Group is partnering with a client in the healthcare industry to identify a detail-oriented Master Data Specialist for a temporary assignment. This individual will provide operational support related to supplier, item, and location data maintenance, reporting, and data quality initiatives.
Job Description
The Master Data Specialist will assist with maintaining accurate records across enterprise systems, managing data-related requests, and supporting ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable handling a high volume of requests while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and maintain supplier records within Oracle, including any necessary updates in preparation for data migration.
- Process supplier information change requests and ensure records are updated accurately.
- Manage item master data requests, including additions, modifications, and corrections.
- Coordinate updates to location records and associated system information.
- Monitor and resolve outstanding ship-to location requests through timely follow-up.
- Evaluate opportunities to transition manual purchase order and trading partner communications to EDI processes, partnering with internal teams on individual cases.
- Identify and clean up invalid or inactive ship-to accounts within GHX.
- Review and deactivate outdated delivery locations within Oracle.
- Implement manufacturer name standardization updates based on established business decisions.
- Partner with Sourcing to track and resolve outstanding item deactivation requests.
- Assist with supplier outreach, research, and follow-up related to contract pricing discrepancies and exceptions.
Reporting & Data Quality Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor reporting related to CMK processing failures.
- Compile weekly purchase order split reports, identify trends, and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions.
- Conduct recurring supplier data audits to help maintain accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare is a plus.
- Experience working with master data, data maintenance, procurement, or supply chain operations is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate information across multiple systems.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working within established deadlines.
Key Skills
- Microsoft Excel: Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, sorting, and filtering.
- Data Management: Foundational knowledge of master data management practices and maintaining data integrity.
- Systems & Workflow Tools: Experience using ticketing or request management platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Smartsheet.
- Accuracy: Strong data entry skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies, duplicate entries, and errors.
- Organization: Ability to manage a steady volume of requests while balancing competing priorities.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal business partners and clarify information requests.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to review data, identify discrepancies, and support resolution through research and follow-up.
