Title: Finance & Office Coordinator
Location: Northeast Minneapolis, MN (100% onsite schedule requiring daily onsite presence in Northeast Minneapolis, MN. Only local candidates in Minnesota or Western Wisconsin will be eligible for consideration)
Compensation: $75K-$105K annually dependent on applicable experience.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Operations professional to support a broad range of financial and administrative functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to payroll, accounting, compliance, and day-to-day business operations.

Role Overview:
- Manage payroll processing for both salaried and field-based employees, ensuring timely and accurate wage distribution
- Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings at the federal, state, and local levels on a recurring basis
- Handle periodic filings related to sales and use tax, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Coordinate year-end reporting, including preparation and distribution of employee and contractor tax documents
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash records
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Generate monthly billing for contract-based work, navigating various external systems as required
- Maintain general ledger activity, including journal entries and preparation of financial reports
- Compile and analyze monthly financial performance reports
- Partner with external accounting professionals during annual audit processes
- Assist operational teams with contract documentation and change order tracking
- Coordinate project-related compliance items, including certificates of insurance and related documentation
- Support pre-qualification processes and complete required credit documentation for business opportunities
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health coverage and retirement plans
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements related to employee benefit offerings
- Oversee relationships, agreements, and maintenance related to IT services, hardware, and infrastructure
- Manage company-issued devices and communication tools for employees across locations
- Coordinate corporate insurance programs, including workers’ compensation and general liability coverage
- Handle procurement and leasing of office equipment and supplies
- Maintain licensing and registration for company-owned vehicles
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience processing payroll and managing tax filings (payroll, sales/use, or similar) preferred
- Familiarity with accounting systems (ERP) and payroll or expense management tools
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, or reporting processes is a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
