About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking experienced Medical Payment Posters to support high-volume professional billing operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong EOB interpretation skills, reconciliation experience, and a proven background in payment posting within physician billing environments.
Job Description:
The Medical Payment Poster will be responsible for posting payments, reviewing remittances, reconciling deposits, and ensuring accurate application of adjustments and denials. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.
After a short onsite training period, the role will transition to a flexible hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately using EOBs and ERAs.
- Perform line-item payment posting for professional claims.
- Reconcile daily deposits including EFTs, checks, and credit card payments.
- Review remittances and identify discrepancies in posted transactions.
- Apply appropriate adjustment and denial codes during payment posting.
- Maintain daily posting logs to ensure accurate transaction tracking.
- Conduct quality assurance audits to verify posting accuracy.
- Identify payment trends, inconsistencies, or posting errors and escalate when necessary.
- Work within multiple systems to review accounts and payment activity.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of recent medical payment posting experience required.
- Strong professional billing (profee) payment posting experience required.
- Experience interpreting EOBs and remittance advice required.
- Experience with payment reconciliation and deposit balancing required.
- Experience with line-item posting required.
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced or evolving environments.
- Stable work history and reliability required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00–7:30am start time with end times between 4:00–4:30pm
- Work Model: Hybrid (onsite training, then will operate on a hybrid schedule)
- MUST be local to Houston
