About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking an Medical Scheduler to support centralized scheduling operations for outpatient services. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys coordinating care, managing referrals, and working in a fast-paced scheduling environment.
Job Description:
The Medical Scheduler will coordinate appointments for patients across assigned regions while communicating with clinics, patients, and insurance adjusters to ensure timely scheduling. This role is primarily phone-based and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple referrals simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule outpatient appointments for patients across assigned regions.
- Manage incoming patient referrals and coordinate scheduling with local clinics.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and referral sources regarding scheduling needs.
- Contact patients to confirm appointment times, provide visit expectations, and explain facility directions.
- Obtain demographic information and assist with pre-registration processes.
- Ensure patient appointments are scheduled within required turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate documentation within scheduling systems.
- Collaborate with clinic teams and management to resolve scheduling challenges.
- Support pre-surgical scheduling and referral coordination when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with appointment scheduling or referral coordination required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate scheduling systems and internal applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–7:00pm CST
- Work Environment: Call center / centralized scheduling office
- Parking: Free onsite parking
