Job Description
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting daily human resources operations, with a strong emphasis on compliance, employee support, and process coordination. This individual will partner closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure smooth HR workflows across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day HR functions, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation and documentation processing
- Initiate and monitor background screening processes for new hires
- Serve as a primary resource for employee questions and assist with resolving workplace concerns
- Assist with full-cycle recruiting coordination, including scheduling and candidate tracking
- Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems and generate reports as needed
- Support benefits administration, including assisting during open enrollment periods
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate employee data and timely processing
- Organize and maintain HR documentation, files, and compliance-related records
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, employee relations, and HR processes
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration
Technical Skills:
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP or Workday preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel reporting
- Experience creating presentations (PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Professional, confident communicator with the ability to handle sensitive situations
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to balance empathy with professionalism when addressing employee matters
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
