About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization in the manufacturing space seeking a Payroll Specialist to support their growing team. This is a collaborative, detail-oriented environment with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on schedule, supporting employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and verify employee timekeeping records prior to payroll processing
- Input and maintain payroll data with a high level of accuracy
- Coordinate direct deposit updates and ensure timely payroll distribution
- Process compensation changes including bonuses, commissions, and adjustments
- Administer wage garnishments in compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain payroll records and documentation for reporting and audits
- Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders
- Address employee questions related to pay, deductions, and discrepancies
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; related field preferred
- Hands-on payroll processing experience
- Experience with payroll systems (Dayforce and/or Oracle HCM preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with confidential information
